1 Cor. 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 43

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalms 88:8  Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

As I sit here thinking about all the Messianic prophecies I have blogged on, I’m amazed at how many scoffers are still out there. Their hearts are truly hardened! These scoffers are no different than Pharaoh whose heart was hardened against Israel. Despite all the warnings given to him by Moses, Pharaoh still resisted. He resisted to the point where he lost his own son! What is it going to take for the lost today? If you haven’t read my series on the “End Times,” please do so. The link will take you to the first day of the series. If you’re not convinced that we are the end time generation after reading this series, then you are one of the scoffers. (2 Peter 3:3)

This is the last post in our series. Today’s verse, Psalm 88:8, we see that the Messiah’s followers would stand far from Him. We also see that the Messiah would be an abomination to those followers. Jesus Christ became a sacrifice for sin on their behalf! Sin is and should be an abomination to us! We should not dwell in sin and let it rule our lives.

The last part of the verse says that “I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.” It’s as though Jesus was a prisoner and confined to quarters! He could not leave the cross because He had a mission to accomplish, which was the salvation of the entire world. (John 3:16)

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Luke 23:49  And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things.

As Jesus hung on the cross awaiting His own death, those who followed Him throughout His three-year ministry, were standing “afar off” watching Jesus die. In and of itself, this would not be much to prove Jesus is the Messiah. However, as I’ve said in previous posts, combine all that we’ve covered thus far with this one, the proof is surely there!

On a side note, can you imagine being one of the followers who stood and watched your Saviour hang on that cross? It would be heart wrenching! Or would you be one of those cold-hearted scoffers who went to the “event” just to witness the spectacle? Friend, although all these things had to happen in order for Christ to redeem us from our sins, we should not fail to remember the agony He experienced in order to purchase our redemption!

Do you know the Messiah, Jesus Christ, personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? If no, your sins are not covered by His sacrificial offering of Himself. You have not been redeemed by His blood. It is no coincidence that God has placed you here for such a time as this so that you may be saved if you are not already. Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 42

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 78:1-2 KJV  Maschil of Asaph. Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.  (2)  I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

Oh a happy day it is! We are blessed to still live in a free country – at least for now. Because we are approaching Thanksgiving in America, we ought to be especially grateful for this freedom. Whether we maintain our freedom or not, the Lord is still on His Throne. It reminds me of the hymn “I Don’t Know About Tomorrow.” I especially love the refrain:

Many things about tomorrow,
I don’t seem to understand;
But I know who holds tomorrow,
And I know who holds my hand.

Friend, because God exists in the past, present and future, He absolutely knows everything that is going to happen. He’s 100% accurate in the prophecies of the Bible and none have failed. (1 Samuel 15:29 KJV) We can be guaranteed that the prophecies of Revelation will most certainly happen! You can take the Bible’s prophecies to the bank, so to speak.

Today’s prophecy depicts the Messiah speaking in parables. The phrase, “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” appears six times in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. Those people who hungered to hear what Jesus Christ had to say, would seek Him out to explain the parables. The others merely mocked Jesus or walked away; they sought Him only to see signs as well as be fed. They sought the carnal side of Jesus’ ministry, not the spiritual side.

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Matthew 13:34-35 KJV  All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:  (35)  That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Luke 8:9-10 KJV  And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?  (10)  And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

The prideful heart does not desire to hear the Good News of the Messiah. Their pride blocks their ears and they cannot hear or understand the things of God. We can compare it to being under water. When someone is speaking above water, it sounds muffled. If we really want to hear what that person has to say, we have to come out of the water in order to hear them clearly. A seeking heart will hear what God has to say in His Word. However, those who do not want to hear will find others who believe in the same things as they do and justify that they are on the right track. Jesus spoke in parables to attract the hearts that were seeking. The prideful Pharisees and Sadducees didn’t want to hear and they totally missed the purpose of Jesus’ messages!

Obadiah 1:3 KJV  The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

Being a religious Catholic in my early years never once led me to salvation. I never heard about salvation, let alone what salvation was all about. What I was taught was that I had to do what I was told to do according to the Catholic church. Salvation is works-based to them, not free for the taking. Jesus paid it all! He paid the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross! This sacrifice was ONCE for all (Hebrews 10:10 KJV)! The Catholic church sacrifices Jesus every time the mass is said. Rather than look at His resurrection (which occurred only once), they look to His death. It is not in Jesus’ death that we have salvation; for if He just died and did not rise from the dead, His death would have been like anyone else’s! Don’t you see the importance of His resurrection? No other “god” can claim this!

Do you know Jesus Christ, the Messiah, personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 41

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 72:10-11  The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.  (11)  Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.

Good morning! The sun has yet to rise, it’s a crisp 43° outside and, can I just say, I’m so thankful for heat, LOL! What a gift, amen? I haven’t done anything to actually receive this gift; I’m merely benefiting from someone’s invention! It sort of lines up with today’s Scripture prophesying the Messiah’s coming to earth.

Todays verses, Psalm 72:10-11, shows two phases of Messiah’s coming to earth. The first clearly shows us that the Messiah would be given gifts from kings; the second reveals that all kings will fall down before Him and all nations will serve Him!

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Matthew 2:1-2  Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,  (2)  Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
Matthew 2:9-11  When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.  (10)  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.  (11)  And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

Rev 21:23-24  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  (24)  And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Jesus Christ the Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach, came to earth and the kings of the East came to worship Him. The first coming has already come and believers all over the world are awaiting His return in the clouds to Rapture His church! But that coming is in the clouds! Christ’s next coming to earth is known as the Second Coming after the Tribulation! Kings will worship Him again when Jesus Christ the Messiah comes back to earth to set up His Millennial Kingdom! But this time it will be all the kings of the earth who will worship Him, not just a few!

Do you know the Messiah personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? If no, your sins are not covered by His sacrificial offering of Himself. You have not been redeemed by His blood. Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 40

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 68:18  Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

Good morning, dear reader! If there are any verses that, in my opinion, separate the doubters from those who confirm Christ as Messiah, these are the verses. The word “gift(s)” referring to the Lord in the New Testament are such a blessing. If only people understood what a true and blessed Gift the Lord Jesus Christ really is! Please, take a moment to read the following verses so you can be blessed:

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 4:10  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Acts 8:20  But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
Romans 5:15-16  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.  (16)  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Romans 5:18  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
Romans 6:23  For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
2 Corinthians 9:15  Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Ephesians 2:8-9  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  (9)  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

I realize that to some this “free gift” may sound like old news and not really taken to heart. But once you understand what it actually means, it makes more sense. As you know, a gift is given to a person and the giver does not expect anything in return, except maybe gratitude and thankfulness. The receiver doesn’t need to pay for the gift; if he did, the gift would not be a gift at all, but would now be a purchase, right? Today’s prophetic verse of Christ being the true Messiah is probably one that stands out the most to me. No other man on earth can say that their death brought salvation to mankind. Psalm 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. Notice the end of the verse says “yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.” John 3:16 tells us that God loved the world! Israel rejected their Messiah and God gave the Gentiles, you and I, the blessed opportunity to receive salvation! Praise the Lord! 🙌 What if Israel had accepted Jesus Christ as their Messiah? Think about it!

Today’s verse speaks of the Messiah’s ascension into Heaven and how Jesus fulfilled that. How many “gods” do you know did that? Surely Buddha didn’t, nor Allah! Only Jesus Christ can claim this! Hallelujah! 🙌 Without Christ’s resurrection and ascension, He would be in the ground and just another prophet. However, Jesus did indeed rise from the dead and He did indeed go back to Heaven to reclaim His rightful throne!

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Luke 24:51  And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

Acts 1:9  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Do you know Him personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? If no, your sins are not covered by His sacrificial offering of Himself. You have not been redeemed by His blood. Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 39

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 31:5  Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Another beautiful morning inside the hearts of believers! We have Christ’s light shining within us and we are illuminated by the blessed Holy Spirit through the Word of God! Doesn’t this excite you? How many books have you read that have inspired you to holy living? There are many self help books but no book but God’s Word can change the heart to live righteously through the Holy Spirit!

Today’s verse touches my aching heart. After all the suffering that our Blessed Saviour experienced, He has finally had enough physical trauma. But meditate for a moment. It wasn’t purely physical. The Lord took upon Himself every sin every committed, including mine! Just as the scapegoat of Leviticus 16:8 and Leviticus 16:10 was made an atonement and released in the wilderness, so was Christ our scapegoat. He became our atonement (Romans 5:11) on that cross. At this point, He was ready to die so that the rest of His mission could be accomplished!

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Luke 23:46  And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

I find it interesting that Luke the physician was the only one to put this in his gospel. He was witnessing this whole event with the eyes of a doctor. A doctor would most certainly be acutely aware of what happens at death. Another point that caught my eye is the use of the word “commend” in this verse. The Greek word for it is:

G3908
παρατίθημι
paratithēmi
par-at-ith’-ay-mee
From G3844 and G5087; to place alongside, that is, present (food, truth); by implication to deposit (as a trust or for protection): – allege, commend, commit (the keeping of), put forth, set before.

The Lord Jesus said: “Into thy hands I commend my spirit:” Into the Father’s hands, Jesus placed His Spirit alongside. Into the Father’s hands, Jesus trusted the Father to protect His Spirit. Into the Father’s hands Jesus trusted the Father to keep His Spirit. Looking at this with my human mind, it makes me feel as though Jesus was seeing death at the door and He was turning everything over to His Father to protect as He gave up the ghost.

Do you know Jesus personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? If no, your sins are not covered by His sacrificial offering of Himself. You have not been redeemed by His blood. Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 38

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 27:12  Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

Good morning, reader! Have you ever been falsely accused of something? I think we can all say that this has happened at one time or another, amen? The Lord Jesus went through this and it led to His death! I could say in my mind how unfortunate it was that He was falsely accused. However, in light of prophecy, I am thankful that this occurred! I’m sure this sounds awful on my part; but think about it. Had the Lord not suffered, died and arose, our sin debt would not be paid!

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Matthew 26:60-61  But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,  (61)  And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.
Mark 14:57-58  And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying,  (58)  We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.

False accusers will always be with us. In fact, after the Rapture of all born-again Christians, the greatest accuser, Satan, (Revelation 12:10), will take command over this earth; first influencing the antichrist and second, actually possessing him! He worked through people during Christ’s day to send Jesus to His death. Because of Satan’s pride, he didn’t think Jesus would rise from the dead. Satan thought that Christ’s death was the end and that he (Satan) would rule this world. Well, his time will come during the Tribulation. He will rule through the Antichrist but his time will be limited. The Lord Jesus Christ, our Messiah, will conquer Satan and will rule and reign in the Millennium.

Today’s prophecy tells us that Jesus was falsely accused by many. In light of all the prophecies thus far (this is our 38th), we are seeing the immutable proof that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. I’ve quoted this before but it’s worth repeating at this point:

Josh and Sean McDowell quote Stoner in their book, Evidence That Demands a Verdict: “We find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 10 to the 17th power (1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000).” Jesus fulfilled MUCH more than 8 (Over 300)! So just think of those odds!

Friend, Stoner states that for only eight prophecies being fulfilled by Jesus is 1 to the 17th power!!! I’ve have given you 38 thus far, which is over four times more! Can you imagine what the chances would be? Meditate on the mathematical possibilities. There should be no doubt in your mind that Jesus Christ IS the Messiah! Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 37

Prophecy of Messiah:
Psalm 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Good morning, Reader! What are you thankful for today? I’m so thankful for the roof over my head and a warm home! So many are homeless and destitute – we need to remember how blessed we are, amen? Don’t take any of your blessings for granted as you can quickly lose those blessings. My personality is such that I usually have a positive attitude – the “cup’s half full” type. But there are times when circumstances overwhelm me and I have to turn to my Shepherd for direction and comfort. It’s a very appropriate title for the Lord Jesus! Is He your Shepherd? Have you ever studied the role of a shepherd?

Today’s prophecy depicts our Lord as a Shepherd. A former pastor, who has now gone home to be with the Lord, grew up in Oregon helping his father to raise sheep on his farm. He gave such great insight on what his shepherd’s duties were and so many of his duties are reflected in Psalms 23:1-6. First off, he would lead the sheep to a fairly level pasture to graze. There were other pastures he could use. However, those pastures had holes or divots in the ground and the sheep could possibly break a leg. Secondly, the pasture had to have a source of water where the current wasn’t swift and it also had to be fairly shallow. Why? If the water source was deep and had a strong current, the sheep could slip and fall into the water. The wool would then become saturated with water, heavy and the sheep would not be able to stand and would eventually drown. Another beautiful depiction of that shepherd is that he would sleep in the pasture with his sheep to protect them against predators. The shepherd would literally put his own life at stake in order for the sheep to survive a predator’s attack.

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

Jesus, our Shepherd, is not only Good, as depicted in the above verse, but He gave His life for His sheep. Each born-again believer is considered part of the Good Shepherd’s flock. To piggy back with the description of the shepherd’s job at the beginning of this post, Jesus also provides us with living water (John 14:10) and He leaves His sheep with peace (John 14:27). Our spiritual body will never thirst because Jesus provides that living water which gives us eternal life. His salvation will never cause us to thirst after what the world has to offer. His peace has been given to us so we will never have to worry about where we will spend eternity! It’s a shame that Israel has not experienced this yet. They could be enjoying fellowship with their Messiah but instead are blinded by the god of this world to believe that He has yet to come. They will miss the glorious Rapture when the saints are called up to meet our Messiah in the clouds!

Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 36

Good morning, Reader! I hope that you are being blessed by this series. The goals of this blog are two-fold: (1) to tell others about salvation through Jesus Christ, and (2) to encourage Christians to look to the Rapture of the Saints before the Tribulation begins. I know that if even one soul is saved as a result, it will be worth it all! This is definitely an effort of love for the lost.

For me, today’s prophecy is another one of those “aha!” verses. David had many prophetic verses in this chapter of Psalms. Today’s is quite poignant as it refers to Christ’s pierced hands and feet. It breaks my heart to even meditate on the pain that Jesus went through! 😥 If you’ve read my previous posts that touched on the crucifixion of Christ, you know why I feel this way. I hope you have taken a moment to read about it.

Prophecy of Messiah:
Psalm 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

The Apostle John records what he saw when he looked upon Jesus’ physical attributes. He saw Jesus being pierced and he saw Jesus telling Thomas to put his fingers in His side and hands. But notice what the results were! Thomas immediately believed and said, “My Lord and my God.” (John 20:28)

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
John 19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.
John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Jesus’ response to Thomas is recorded in the very next verse in John 20:29: Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. We are the ones that have not seen, friend! We are the ones that believe even though we haven’t seen. That is the faith of a mustard seed (Matthew 17:20. There is no disputing when someone tells you their salvation story! Their life was immediately changed (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Mine certainly was! I was on the verge of a divorce, confused and depressed. I bought sleeping pills and was planning to end my life that very next weekend. However, God had something else in store for me. When I had decided the when and how, I received a call from my best friend in Northern Maine asking if she could come down to visit me during her vacation. Of course, it was a no brainer! However, she was a born-again Christian and I told her she could come but she could not preach to me as I was a die hard Catholic (even though I wasn’t practicing my religion at the time). Thank God this did not discourage her – her love for me was great! She traveled 1,000 miles to see me and had the prayers of her church family coming with her. At that time, I was an adamant follower of Nostradamus’ writings of the end times. She happened to have an audio tape of Hal Lindsey, author of “Late Great Planet Earth,” preaching at a church. His ministry was to go around teaching about the end times according to the Bible. My friend had no idea that I followed Nostradamus or even had an interest in the end times, but God did. It was the perfect tape to bring with her! It piqued my interest when she told me that she also was interested in the end times and had this tape by Hal Lindsey that was quite interesting. Indeed it was! I had no idea who he was so I didn’t think it had anything to do with her being born again. He explained using the Scriptures what was to happen during the Tribulation. He talked about the Rapture, which is something the Catholic church does not teach, nor does the Catholic church teach biblical salvation. It scared me so much that I would go through the Tribulation! He gave the Gospel message and was very thorough – so much so that I remember thinking that God would have to let me into Heaven because I had never heard these Bible verses about salvation before. At the moment that I had this thought, Hal Lindsey said, “And you can’t say you didn’t know because I just told you so“! God reached deep into my heart and showed me that my excuse was just obliterated and the light of His Word pierced my heart! I fell to my knees and asked His forgiveness for my sins and invited Him into my life to be my Lord and my Saviour. My life dramatically changed at that point! Jesus was now at the forefront of my thoughts every day and I had a tremendous desire to learn all I could about Him. My friend had packed a Bible in her suitcase so she was ready to disciple me as best she could in the few days she had left of her vacation. I now know Jesus Christ personally, just as Thomas believed when He touched Jesus’s hands and side. Thomas believed by sight but I believed by faith! The Apostle Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus. You can read about it in Acts 26:12-18. Jesus told Paul that his mission would be to tell everyone how they can be saved. Acts 26:18 says it all: To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 35

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

It’s another gorgeous day in beautiful Culpeper, Virginia! How blessed I am to be alive at this time in history! Yes, history! Every moment that I sit at my computer typing away becomes a moment in history. 😁 Most exciting, however, is that we will be that generation that will not see death (Revelation 3:8, 10) unless of course we should die before the Rapture. Take note that there is an open door in verse 8 that no man can shut. There is also a promise from the Lord Jesus Himself saying that He will keep us FROM the hour of temptation which will come on all the earth to test the earth’s inhabitants. Jesus didn’t say He would keep His Church through the tribulation but FROM the tribulation. Just as in the days of Noah and Lot, the righteous were removed FROM the destruction and judgment to come.

Luke 17:27-29 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.  (28)  Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;  (29)  But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

This should encourage each Christian to live for the Lord and to tell as many people as you can about the saving power of Jesus Christ, our Messiah!

Today’s prophecy makes me so sad because it deals with the suffering our Saviour had to go through to pay the penalty of our sins! 😥 It’s so descriptive as it relates to water pouring out (when the soldier put his spear through the Lord’s side (John 19:34); His bones were not broken (John 19:33); His heart is melted like wax into His bowels depicts how Christ’s internal organs must have been rearranged because of the immense effort it took to hang on the cross and to inhale each and every breath! I posted this a couple of posts ago but it is worth repeating at this point. Dr. C. Truman Davis wrote an article entitled “A Physician’s View of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ.” If you haven’t read it before, please take a moment to read it as it will most definitely change the way you think about what Christ went through for you and I! It is heart-wrenching to say the least! I’m thankful Dr. Davis took it upon himself to research it and to share it with us!

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

John 19:33-34 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:  (34)  But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Really, there is not much more that can be said about Jesus Christ, our Messiah, and what He had to go through to save us from our sins. God made sure to include over 300 Scripture passages about Jesus and how He fulfilled each one in the past and will fulfill each of the future ones!

It is no coincidence that God has placed you here for such a time as this so that you may be saved if you are not already. Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 34

Prophecy of Messiah:

Psalm 22:7-8 All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,  (8)  He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

Rise and shine 😊! Even though we are close to the end of October, we can already see the signs of Winter approaching near the Blue Ridge Mountains. I don’t know what it is about Winter that makes me feel as though we are nearing the end of our seasons. I suppose it is because everything goes into a dormant state, leaves falling, grass turning brown, etc. I believe it’s a good analogy as to where we are in prophetic times, don’t you agree?

We are reaching the end of the world as we know it. The Rapture can happen at any time and we are seeing the world heading toward a one-world government and religion. Why do I say that? The wars and rumors of wars are upon us (Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7) and ecumenism is spoken of in the news as if it is something good! This article makes it quite clear that the world is pushing forward to unite all religions by creating a platform, the Abrahamic Family House, that unites Jews, Christians and Islam. The Catholic Pope is leading this effort with Ahmed El-Tayeb. The Abrahamic Family House will house St. Francis of Assisi Church, Imam Al-Tayeb Mosque and Moses Ben Maimon Synagogue. Wow! Just wow! Even Wikipedia’s description of the Abrahamic Family House is disconcerting:

The complex seeks to represent interfaith co-existence, preserves the unique character of the religions represented and build bridges between human civilization and the Abrahamic messages

Friend, if this doesn’t wake you up as to where we are in the end times, I don’t know what will!

Let’s get back on point to see how Jesus fulfilled today’s Scriptures about the Messiah. In my opinion, today’s verses make it quite clear that Jesus did in fact fulfill this prophecy. I understand that as Christians, we are looking back and have the full knowledge of what happened. But we must remember that Israel had the Old Testament books. Once they witnessed what happened at the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus, they should have recognized that prophecy was being fulfilled before their very eyes. Just as I pointed out in my opening about the one world church, we Christians should see the groundwork of fulfilling the prophecy of Revelation 17:1-18! Israel had the same type of prophecies as we do today. They just refused to “see.”

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Matthew 27:39-43 And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,  (40)  And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.  (41)  Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,  (42)  He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.  (43)  He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

My friend, don’t be swayed and blinded by anyone’s opinion. Open your Bible and the Holy Spirit of God will show you. It is His job to teach us (John 14:26). This is why He is called the Comforter; we do not need to fear what God has already told us in His Word. We should not be taken by surprise! We have not been left to our own devices, nor was Israel! They had the prophets to learn from and then the written scrolls came between 1660s to the 400s B.C. This was over 400 years before Christ came. This was enough time for them to learn. Granted, the scrolls were not in every home at that time as we have the complete Bible in our homes today. But friend, you must realize that God does not condemn the innocent. He gives everyone an opportunity to be exposed to salvation. If a person in the most remote tribe in the deepest Amazon jungle were to search for Him, in His mercy God would send a missionary to tell him about salvation. Romans 10:14 tells us that it is the same with everyone! Someone will be sent to preach the precious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ! Whether it be in person or on the Internet, everyone will hear. It occurred in the Old Testament when Ruth clung to her mother-in-law. It occurred when Rahab helped Joshua escape. She was a Canaanite which was Israel’s enemy. But friend, we are not God. We cannot be so high-minded that we would know what His plans are. But one thing I know for certain is that He is the God of mercy (Psalm 86:15). If someone wants to know Him, He will make sure that He reveals Himself to that person, one way or another.
