Welcome to my blog, Maranatha’s Pull Up A Chair! It’s my little home away from home where I share my love for writing; not only poetry but also any topic that the Lord lays on my heart. Unfortunately, our site was hacked and we had to start all over with a different site URL. If you’ve found me, welcome back! 🙂 The old site has a re-direct and hopefully my previous readers will find me here.
A little about me
I’m Kate Plourde and I’m thrilled that you are here. I was born in New Brunswick, Canada but raised in Northern Maine. The Lord used my dearest friend to lead me to Him. I was gloriously saved and born again by the grace of God on April 1, 1980! Currently, I am a retired executive assistant and have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1974. I am a mother of two sons and grandmother of three grandsons and live near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. We are members of an Independent Baptist Church in Culpeper, VA called CityLight Baptist Church.
My blogging experience began in 2006 when my dear friend Vicky asked me to write a devotional that would be geared to lead Catholics to the Lord. I have been blogging ever since and have covered quite a few topics.
I hope to continue blogging until the Lord calls me home. I pray that this blog will still be read long after the Rapture has happened and that it would be instrumental in leading others to Christ!
