Welcome!
Welcome to my blog, Maranatha’s Pull Up A Chair! It’s my little home away from home where I share my love for writing; not only poetry but also any topic that the Lord lays on my heart. Unfortunately, our site was hacked and we had to start all over with a different site URL. If you’ve found me, welcome back! 🙂 The old site has a re-direct and hopefully my previous readers will find me here.
A little about me
I’m Kate Plourde and I’m thrilled that you are here. I was born in New Brunswick, Canada but raised in Northern Maine. The Lord used my dearest friend to lead me to Him. I was gloriously saved and born again by the grace of God on April 1, 1980! Currently, I am a retired executive assistant and have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1974. I am a mother of two sons, grandmother of three grandsons and live near the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. We are members of a wonderful church that preaches God’s Word and longs for Christ’s return!
My blogging experience began in 2005 when my dear friend, Vicky, asked me to write a devotional that would be geared to leading her parents-in-law to the Lord. I have been blogging ever since and have covered quite a few topics.
Join me
I hope to continue blogging until the Lord calls me home. I pray that this blog will still be read long after the Rapture has happened and that it would be instrumental in leading others to Christ!
