Have you ever been so broken,
Where your heart was torn in half?
Were you looking for some answers
From your closest confidant?

Has your family turned against you
For whatever reason or mistake?
Does their lack of mercy to forgive
Been central to their case?

Have you oh so craved their presence,
Just to look upon their face?
To hear their voice, a hearty laugh,
Do you long for their embrace?

I must admit in all my years,
This trial has been unyielding.
I’ve begged the Lord so many times,
Please heal this aching pain!

Lord why is Your response so slow?
Then I’m reminded to trust in Him.
He will mend my broken family
And will heal those broken chains.
