1 Cor. 15:52  In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Messianic Prophecies Fulfilled by Jesus – Day 25

It’s a new day and in my brain comes thoughts of Christ’s return to Rapture His Church! Who belongs to His church, you ask? All born-again believers from the time of Jesus’ resurrection to the day of Rapture will be included. I’m not talking about people who claim to be saved but live like the devil. I’m talking about people who actually repented of their old life and have lived for the Lord! (2Corinthians 5:17) I look forward to the Rapture every single day. Why every day? Have you looked around you and thought that the world has literally turned upside down? I look around and see people calling the killing of babies in the womb “good for women”; even up to when they come out of the birth canal 😥 I see “scientists” actually saying there are more than two sexes and cannot define what is a woman! I see church members fighting amongst themselves over social issues. My heart breaks but I know in my heart that God’s Word is always true and He said this would happen. (2Samuel 7:28, Psalm 119:160, John 17:17 and many more) Therefore, that is why I believe with all my heart that the time is here for the Tribulation to begin. (2Timothy 3:1-7) It cannot begin however, until the Rapture has occurred. This is why I think of the Rapture every single day! 😀 These times were prophesied in Isaiah and Jesus spoke of it as well.

Isaiah 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

John 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Today’s prophecy of Jesus Christ, our Messiah, is about Him being the Rock. However, to top it off, Samuel also mentions that the Messiah would be the “light.” Do you recall the Scriptures where Jesus taught about building a house on a rock or sand? Jesus said that the person who builds his spiritual life upon a rock, his house would not fall because it was built upon a rock. Because our faith and salvation are based on the Rock, we are solid and safe in Him. You can read more about the Lord being called a rock in: Deuteronomy 32:15, 2Samuel 22:47, 2Samuel 23:3, Psalm 62:7, Psalm 89:26, Psalm 94:22, Psalm 95:1, and Isaiah 17:10. It is no coincidence, friend.

Prophecy of Messiah:

2 Samuel 23:2-4  The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.  (3)  The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.  (4)  And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun riseth, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

Notice that the God of Israel was spoken to by the Rock of Israel! If you’re Jewish, this verse should cause you to wonder who in the world is speaking to God!

Jesus is the Rock that is prophesied. The Apostle Paul makes it clear below; as plain as the nose on your face. The Rock is Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Saviour of mankind! This same Jesus sheds His light upon our hearts and leads us to Him through His Word.

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

1 Corinthians 10:4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

John 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Don’t walk in darkness, Reader. Please, I beg of you, to make sure that you know Him today. Allow the beautiful light of the Gospel of Christ shine in your hearts; let it shine upon your sins so that you can seek forgiveness, repent (2Corinthians 5:17) and be saved through salvation in Jesus Christ. He will forgive your sins and will lead you to the truth and knowledge in His Word.

Do you know Him personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? If no, your sins are not covered by His sacrificial offering of Himself. You have not been redeemed by His blood. It is no coincidence that God has placed you here for such a time as this so that you may be saved if you are not already. Who is the Rock? Day 3

Photography by Chris Michaud

(2 Sa 22:47)  The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

Good morning, Reader! It’s a nippy morning but I feel fairly certain that it’s colder where some of you live! 😀 Today’s picture is absolutely breathtaking! What a serene scenery – how would you like to sit with your morning cup of coffee or tea and behold God’s handiwork? It brings such peace!

Today’s verse is one that speaks to my heart and fills me with joy! It truly is a joy unspeakable! Let’s dig a little deeper, shall we? If you recall, Hannah (Elkanah’s wife) was Samuel’s mother. She prayed for God to send her a son after years of being barren. Hannah committed to God that if He were to bless her with a child, she would offer him back to the Lord. Hannah kept her promise to God. Samuel served in the house of the Lord from the time he was two or three. He became a great prophet and was the thirteenth judge over Israel.

Samuel knew the Lord personally! He refers to Jehovah God (LORD) as the God who lives! Our God is not some figment of someone’s imagination. He was, is and will be forever more!

(Psa 90:2)  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

(Heb 13:8)  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Our God is always here and always with us. One of His names is Emmanuel, which means God with us! How exciting is that? Rejoice, Christian!

The second phrase Samuel gives us is “blessed be my rock”! Noah Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines the word as:

In Scripture, figuratively, defense; means of safety; protection; strength; asylum. The Lord is my rock. 2 Sam 22. Firmness; a firm or immovable foundation.

Samuel blesses God for being his defense, his means of safety, his protection, his strength, and his asylum! Oh friend, what an intimate way to approach your faith in Christ. Christ promises us that He will NEVER leave us or forsake us! This intimate relationship for the born again believer is one that we can rely on because God does not lie! Read the following verses and comfort yourself! These promises are overwhelming and they come from the Creator Himself!

(Deu 31:6)  Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

(Deu 31:8)  And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

(1 Ch 28:20)  And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

(Jos 1:9)  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

(Heb 13:5)  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Samuel had this intimate relationship and it is evident in his prayer! Exalted be the God of the “rock of my salvation”! This phrase is found only one other time, in Psalms 89:

(Psa 89:26)  He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

This Psalmist (Ethan the Ezrahite, a singer in King David’s court) knew God personally because he calls him: his father, his God and rock of my salvation! Is He yours? Can you sing the hymn below with all confidence that you have that joy of knowing God as your father and rock of your salvation?

Joy Unspeakable by Barnie E. Warren

I have found His grace is all complete,
He supplieth every need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.

Refrain:
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.

I have found the pleasure I once craved,
It is joy and peace within;
What a wondrous blessing, I am saved
From the awful gulf of sin.

I have found that hope so bright and clear,
Living in the realm of grace;
Oh, the Savior’s presence is so near,
I can see His smiling face.

I have found the joy no tongue can tell,
How its waves of glory roll;
It is like a great o’erflowing well,
Springing up within my soul.

If you’ve read through this post today and you have doubts whether or not you are saved, born again, please leave a comment simply asking me to reach out to you. I would rather be certain of where I will spend eternity than to be afraid to admit to my church family that I’m doubting that I’m saved! Friend, it is no coincidence that God has placed you here for such a time as this so that you may be saved.
