Prophecy of Messiah:

Gen 12:3  And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

It’s a new day and what better way than to start it in God’s Word! My spirit was rejuvenated within me when I did the series on the Rapture and the Tribulation period. The desire to tell others became even more urgent. We mustn’t take our responsibility to spread the Gospel lightly. What excites you, Reader? Is it the latest iPhone release? Is it the new job? Jesus told us to go into all the world (Mark 16:15) and we should be excited to share something as wonderful as this! We may not be able to go into all the world, but we can reach out to those in our circle. If you’re into social media, use it to God’s glory! If you’re in the grocery store, ask the Holy Spirit to put someone in your path. There are many ways to share the Good News! Who knows if the Lord will place a Jew in your life and you are given the privilege of showing them who Messiah truly is! How exciting!!!

It’s hard for me to comprehend to what extent the devil has gone to get rid of the Jewish people. If you look throughout history, you see the devil’s work in trying to accomplish just that. On a side note, if you have not read the book: “Lily’s Promise: How I Survived Auschwitz and Found the Strength to Live” by Lily Ebert and Dov Forman, do so. It’s heart wrenching to read about man’s inhumanity to man but when one recognizes that it’s been Satan’s plan, it makes one’s blood boil. I guess since the devil could not stop the resurrection of Christ, he’s now bent on getting rid of Israel during the upcoming Tribulation. But just wait, I’ve read the Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ wins in the end! 😀

Today’s verse is a promise to Abraham that through his seed, ALL the families of the earth will be blessed, not just Israel. No one else is able to fulfill this promise but Jesus.

Joh 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If only the Jews and Israel were to be saved, John 3:16 would read quite differently. Also, Peter gave a wonderful speech at Solomon’s porch where he clearly laid out that Jesus was their Messiah:

Prophecy of Messiah Fulfilled:

Act 3:13-26  The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.  (14)  But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;  (15)  And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.  (16)  And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.  (17)  And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.  (18)  But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.  (19)  Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;  (20)  And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:  (21)  Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.  (22)  For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.  (23)  And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.  (24)  Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.  (25)  Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.  (26)  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

The Book of Acts reflects how the Church was first started. It began with born again Jews, friend! When the Apostles were gathered together by Jesus for His mission, He was their Rabbi. He taught in the synagogue and read from the Old Testament Scriptures. He didn’t have the New Testament as we have today. Right before Jesus ascended, He told them to be witnesses unto Him, first in their city, then the next city, then to those who were not true Jews, and then to the uttermost parts of the world (the Gentiles). Jesus gave them a plan to grow the Church! (Acts 1:8) Jesus said in John 14:12 that they would do greater works than He did! Jesus ministered to the Jews but the Apostles would bring salvation to the Gentiles! Praise God!! \o/

So the prophecy of Genesis 12:3 is fulfilled by the One and Only Saviour of mankind, our Lord Jesus Christ! Do you know Him personally or do you only know of Him? I want to be sure that anyone who reads the posts on this blog can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are going to Heaven. Have you received Christ as your Saviour? If no, your sins are not covered by His sacrificial offering of Himself. You have not been redeemed by His blood. It is no coincidence that God has placed you here for such a time as this so that you may be saved if you are not already.
